NAI Horizon Office Building
2000, Phoenix, AZ

Commissioned in 1998, Jones Studio designed a 28,000 square foot, 2-story office building to respond to a developer market. Receiving considerable "buzz" around town, this project proves an office building can be built for $82/SF and still be highly responsive to fundamental environmental issues and an appropriate desert city urban context. The fundamental principles of shade, ventilations, and filtered sunlight can be traced back through Sonoran Desert history. Although the “ramada” is an idea centuries old, it is no less relevant today!
